1. Overview
At Studio van den Heuvel, we want you to feel confident and happy with your purchase. If something isn’t quite right, you may be eligible for a return, exchange, or refund depending on the product type and when you contact us.
This policy applies to all orders placed through our website and is in line with Danish and EU consumer protection laws.
Please note: Gelato only prints and ships your order. We are fully responsible for refunds, exchanges, and returns.
2. Return Eligibility
You can return an item within 30 days of receiving it. Items returned after 30 days may not be eligible for a full refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return:
- The item must be unused, in its original condition, and in the original packaging.
- You must provide a receipt or proof of purchase.
Items that cannot be returned include:
- Custom-made or personalized artwork or prints
- Gift cards
- Digital downloads or software already accessed
- Perishable goods (e.g., food, flowers)
- Flammable or hazardous materials
Partial refunds may be issued in certain cases, including:
- A book or print with signs of use
- An item not in its original condition or missing parts
- Returns requested more than 30 days after delivery
Once we receive your return and inspect it, we will email you to confirm whether your refund is approved.
3. Refunds
If your return is approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method. The timing depends on your bank or card provider, typically within 8–14 business days.
Late or missing refunds:
- Check your bank account again.
- Contact your credit card company—processing can take time.
- Contact your bank for any delays.

Sale items: Only full-price items are refundable. Sale items cannot be refunded.
4. Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. To exchange:

5. Gifts
- If an item was purchased as a gift and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return.
- If the gift was shipped to the purchaser first, the refund will be issued to the gift giver.
