I'm frequently asked about the gear I prefer to use. On this page, I'll share the photography equipment that has been helping me capture stunning images. While I firmly believe that a photographer's skill, creativity, and dedication are most important, having the right tools can help you to get the images you are looking for.

Nikon Z7 II (2024 - Present)

In 2024, I upgraded to the Nikon Z7 II, my first full-frame camera. It’s a huge step up from my previous setup, with stunning image quality thanks to its 45.7-megapixel sensor. The camera feels great to use, and it has plenty of buttons that make it super intuitive when configured to my liking.

Right now, I only have the NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S lens, which came as part of a bundle. It’s surprisingly versatile and incredibly sharp, making it great for trips and everyday photography. I’m saving up for a wide-angle lens to expand my kit.

I also use a Manfrotto Compact Action Aluminum tripod, a secondhand find perfect for staying low-key while travelling or shooting at night. It’s sturdy, adjustable, and fits easily into a small backpack. The head’s a bit bulky and worn, so I might replace it soon.

Nikon D5500 (2016 - 2023)

Before the Z7 II, I used my trusty Nikon D5500 for seven years. It had a 24.2-megapixel sensor and amazing battery life. Shooting with it felt second nature, and it was tough to let it go—but I know it’s in good hands now.

My favourite lens for the D5500 was the Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6, perfect for wide-angle shots. Many of my photos from Copenhagen, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Porto were taken with it. I also loved the Nikon 50mm f/1.8G for its vibrant colors and dreamy bokeh. For travel, I relied on the Nikon 18-105mm DX VR - a solid all-rounder, even if it wasn’t the sharpest.
